About the founder

My name is Ivy! It’s nice to meet you!

I bring personal and professional experience navigating gender-affirming care. I have navigated the process for myself and others, from finding providers, to prior authorisations, to grievances and more. I understand both how to collaborate with insurance to obtain the care you deserve while also knowing how to fight them if they try and impede that.

Professionally, I have worked in healthcare administration, with provider-side experience in navigating authorisations, claims, denials, and other aspects that our clients encounter in their journey to access gender-affirming care.

I started Flourish Advocacy, LLC because I noticed that both myself and many other trans people regularly experience significant barriers to accessing gender-affirming care, requiring a labourious and time-intensive process. I hope to provide excellent care to you, our clients, breaking down barriers together and ensuring the process is as simple as can be!
